So I’ve got these rules I use in my job, built the list over a number of years. I’ll give them in more detail later, but wanted to get them published before I forget them
- If you’re not selling something, you’re not selling anything.
 - If someone wants to buy something, sell it to them. (if it’s not something that would make mom mad)
 - Be nice.
 - If you can’t make a sale, make a friend.
 - If you focus on the customer, the money will follow, if you focus on the money the customer will leave.
 - You have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason.
 - Be smart enough to know when you’re not smart enough.
 - Don’t throw away marketing material/catalogs. At least get them into the hands of your customer.
 - You can only get 2 out of 3, fast, good or cheap, choose wisely each time.
 - The customer isn’t always right, but don’t ever tell them that.
 - Work hard, always.
