Tim Montondos Rule for Business (from the forth-coming best selling MBA’s and the Land of Magical Ponies)

So I’ve got these rules I use in my job, built the list over a number of years. I’ll give them in more detail later, but wanted to get them published before I forget them

  1. If you’re not selling something, you’re not selling anything.
  2. If someone wants to buy something, sell it to them. (if it’s not something that would make mom mad)
  3. Be nice.
  4. If you can’t make a sale, make a friend.
  5. If you focus on the customer, the money will follow,  if you focus on the money the customer will leave.
  6. You have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason.
  7. Be smart enough to know when you’re not smart enough.
  8. Don’t throw away marketing material/catalogs.   At least get them into the hands of your customer.
  9. You can only get 2 out of 3, fast, good or cheap,  choose wisely each time.
  10. The customer isn’t always right,  but don’t ever tell them that.
  11. Work hard, always.
